WHO WE ARE…
Established in 2017, Skiatook Flying Club is located in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Up to 15 club members own a fixed-equity membership share of the club. The club currently owns a 1962 Cessna 172c.
We are organized as a not-for-profit LLC with a purpose of providing recreational and social activities for our club members. We are a flying club, not a flight school, however club members may receive flight training from other members within the club who are certified flight instructors.
The club is member managed and funded by way of membership dues and hourly aircraft usage fees. No member of the club receives compensation, all monies collected are utilized to pay costs associated with aircraft ownership, any surplus monies go towards aircraft upgrades. Members are assessed club dues which are in turn used to pay for fixed costs such as insurance, hangar lease, inspection and maintenance costs. Members hourly airplane usage fees are deposited to a long term maintenance fund to pay for major maintenance such as engine overhaul or replacement.
Skiatook Flying Club promotes aviation safety and sponsors monthly FAA Wings program seminars. All members of our organization are Wings program participants.
OUR AIRPLANE
The Skiatook Flying Club owns a 1962 C-172c. The airplane is well maintained and equipped. Members may use the airplane for personal use and continued training, but not for commercial use. The airplane is hangared at Skiatook Municipal Airport (2F6).
Members have access to an online mobile friendly scheduling and reservation system. The system allows for members to book flights, dispatch their flight before takeoff, and check-in the airplane after each flight. The same system is utilized for billing and maintenance tracking.
